We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful and beautiful hotel very close to Salento. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Salento!

A Texas Style Ranch(With No Horses)

As they say - Watch the sun come up, Watch it go down, Thank Almighty God for another day. The place brought back my memories of staying in á 'Texas Ranch' in USA some 15 years back. Wow. Quite similar SAN 'horses' jejeje. What a beautiful, peaceful place out of the hustle-bustle of a city. We really enjoyed staying here. When we had to go back to Salento to take a bus for our next destination, owner arranged a private cab for us with an English speaking person, and very nominal price, which I believe(not sure) was his son, as I had read in few reviews his sons speak very good ingles. :-). And, coming back to the place, man, what a nice place to spent time. And, not to forget those three, very nice doggies. So beautiful and lovely dogs. If you are in a big group or few families, this place is ideal' for you to enjoy your time for a day or two. They can arrange all kind of tours right from the site, like çocora valley tour, or coffee farm tours etc. Kudos. When we arrived, I thought what a deserted place so far away is this. But , then later I realized, there were at least 20+ more folks have arrived in a short time. They for sure must be doing something nice, that's why the place is full. Lastly, I wish they had an in-house restaurant therein, as once you are there, you can't go anywhere to have dinner, if you have 'no car' ˙◠˙. We had to spend the night with chips and a 'poker' drink. Jejejeje.

Breakfast with 'NO' option for a fruit-juice is a big no for me. I always have it before I have Çoffee' Je Je Je. Please make that option also available for future travelers. Rest of the breakfast was really good. Also, it is a bit far away from Salento. We had a hard time to get a taxi/cab in Salento(seems non-existent there). Then a good Samaritan advises us to approach those 'Willy' Jeeps, and they may take us there, any they did.

Beautiful!

Such a beautiful place! It's in the heart of nature, surrounded by wonderful views. The staff and the family are very friendly and they also have the cutest dogs! We felt comfortable and welcomed and the rooms had everything you need. It is just a ten minute drive from Salento, close to everything, but you still get to feel like you are away deep in the mountains. The breakfast was delicious. Would love to come again one day, one of the most lovely places we've ever been ️

Our favorite stay/place in all of Colombia.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. The family is very friendly and welcoming. Always available and willing to answer questions, give recommendations, & even rides for a reasonable price. We had our first horseback riding experience here and enjoyed it very much. Andres & Camilo were amazing hosts & Doña Martha is one of the nicest ladies we’ve met. We were so sad to leave but will most definitely stay here again on our next visit back. Highly recommend a stay at El Rancho de Salento when visiting el Eje Cafetero.

Nothing. Just be prepared for a little bumpy ride from the farm to the Main Street. But this didn’t bother us at all & so worth it for the peacefulness we felt while on the farm.

Beautiful hotel. Loud large group of guests staying in the property that night we were there.

Beautiful location, hotel is comfortable and well kept. Beautiful traditional coffee finca house. The room was clean, good hot water in the shower. Breakfast was decent (except they didn't have any fruit juice as a drink option).

There was a very large family traveling and staying in multiple rooms around us, and they were VERY loud at night, talking to each other across the property. Wish there was a rule to remind people to be quiet after dark.

Beautiful grounds

The grounds of the property and aesthectis were really beautiful. The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean, spacious and large showers. Breakfast was nice. It’s also close to Salento town.

It was advertised the property counted with a bar and restaurant. Glad I called and checked as that was not the case. Be sure you eat your lunch or dinner outside as they don’t provide any food on the grounds, nor a bar. There’s a fridge with beer locked with a key which you have to go bother the owner to open every time.

A beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting . A bit removed from Salento.

Only problem was booking site says 1.7 km and it is further to Salento.. We had planned to walk each day but that was not possible. Had to pay for taxi or uber each time. Only other concern was noisy when a guest was in the next room . Could hear every word. Other than that this hotel is delightful.

Superb

It was really El Rancho :) We loved the design and everything. Beds were comfy, bathroom had hot water. Breakfast was good. The coffee was free and available all day and it was good, too. Few restaurants before the road to the hotel, which were acceptable.

I wouldn’t say it was big issue, but the road to the hotel is approx. 1km of unpaved road. It is not bad road and I saw people with very small cars, who made it with no issue, but I was happy we had SUV. Also it is very dark in the night, so for first time I would recommend to go before dark.

Great service and comfortable accommodation in a beautiful spot!

Camillo was an exceptional host and gave us some great recommendations and even drove us in and out of Salento town when he could. Breakfast was very tasty and staff were very friendly :) the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was situated in a beautiful spot on the hill just outside the town. We Loved Mila the hotel dog too :) Highly recommend.

Peaceful place with super friendly and helpful owners and staff!

The owners and staff go above and beyond to assist and accommodate. As the property is a bit outside of Salento, (peaceful!) they help with transport and there is also a path offering excellent views, worth the trek up or down from Salento at least once. Our Spanish is not great, but that was not an issue, the friendly staff and owners found ways to communicate or made sure a family member with good English could help, this was not expected but made things even easier for us. The most welcoming place we stayed, for 3 nights, in Colombia.

Superb

.The owner, the staff, the location, the quietness... Perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the magnificent venue. Very helpful and so nice, they recommended authentic places to go. He booked for us. Incredibly nice all of them.

A bit noisy in the room. You can hear everything from the other rooms ( the last night some guest were particularly loud in the room next door)

Exceptional

Location is gorgeous - so peaceful & the rooms are so clean and cosy. Only a short journey into the town. The staff are so lovely and accommodating - they went above and beyond. So many things to do around the area - hiking, horse riding, exploring the town. Loved our stay at the Ranch, would recommend anyone to put it on their Colombia to do list! 10/10
